Faith associates is offering bespoke environmental consulting workshop that can help faith institutions or educational facilities to develop and implement environmental practices that can reduce their carbon footprint and maintain Environmentally friendly practices.

Why is Maintaining good environmental practices important?

Maintaining sustainable and eco-friendly environmental practices is of paramount importance in an increasingly developed society. Within society, though often unintentionally, humans have an increasingly detrimental impact on the environment. An unclean environment leads to a bad deteriorating condition of a society in the form of contagious diseases, bad air pollution and decreased biodiversity. Hence it is essential to maintain a healthy eco system. Key types of pollution are air, water, soil, noise, radioactive, light and thermal. They are adversely affecting our environment. Many types of pollution, and environmental concerns, are interlinked and influence one another. Therefore in order to maintain sustainability is comes down to a local, regional and national responsibility to cultivate and standardise safe environmental practices. This is what Faith Associates can offer via the medium of a bespoke workshop that communicates and delivers ways in which you can keep your organisation environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Sustainability itself can be defined by three core elements, each of which must be carefully considered in relation to the others:

  • Environmental Protection
  • Social Development
  • Economic Development

Environmental Protection

Supporting and creating a sustainable ecosystem must, of course, place significant focus on environmental protection. After all, our interactions with the environment are only “sustainable” if they don’t destroy the environment and the resources provided by it. Environmental protection entails examining how our use of the environment affects it, and how we can ensure that negative effects are minimized and behaviours that positively impact the environment are emphasized.

Social Development

People are only interested in sustainability if they are educated about it, and if its overall importance is effectively communicated. Furthermore, individual well-being and the well-being of society is encompassed in what sustainability stands for. Ensuring that human beings have access to basic resources, that their health is being protected, and that they enjoy a good quality of life within a sustainable environment is critical.

Economic Development

Perhaps one of the more controversial of sustainability’s elements, due in part to the fact that economic success is a rather subjective concept, economic development is nonetheless important for several reasons. First, sustainability without economic development simply cannot succeed—in order to convince individuals, communities, and organizations to invest their resources in sustainability, there must be incentives above and beyond the long-term advantages. Second, as described above, social development is also an important aspect of sustainability—and social development requires (among many other things) economic resources as well.

Here are just a few key ways in which faith associates can guide you within the workshop to achieve sustainable environmental practices –

Reduce usage of chemicals and pesticides

It is always advisable to eliminate maximum household chemicals and pesticides that directly pollute the green environment. Instead we can make our own solutions for cleaning purpose using distilled vinegar, lemon and baking soda. There are many ‘green’ cleaning products available in the market that is environmentally friendly and conventional cleaners too.

Recycle the waste products

Many waste products like glass, plastics, aluminium and paper can be recycled instead of being disposed of into the dustbin. This will prevent any air pollution accumulated by burning these products. We can also use reusable towels and reusable bags rather than using disposable plastics or bags.

Reduce carbon footprints

There are many ways to cut back carbon footprints causing excess air pollution. We can lower the temperature of our water heater, wash dishes manually instead of using a dishwasher, reduce the use of air conditioner or heater and buy energy efficient lights to lower the energy consumption and heat generation level.
