About The Kawthar Project

The Kawthar Project is a ground-breaking initiative by Faith Associates through its ECO Mosque initiative. The Kawthar Project envisions a transformative journey towards sustainable water practices within mosques and the communities it serves. As water resources become scarce and increasingly expensive it is imperative that we work to protect this precious commodity.  Rooted in the rich Islamic tradition of stewardship, the project is a call to action for Mosque leaders, Imams and worshipers to emerge as leaders in water conservation, fostering a sense of responsibility and mindfulness.

Vision – ECO Sunnah Solutions

Our vision extends beyond the immediate conservation of water; it encompasses a holistic approach that intertwines environmental responsibility with community well-being. The Kawthar project aims to create a ripple effect, fostering a sense of harmony between faith, environment, and community. By elevating water conservation to a sacred duty, we envision a future where every drop is revered, and the ecological footprint of mosques becomes a testament to responsible custodianship.

The Urgency of Water Conservation

The urgency of the water crisis cannot be overstated. Globally, communities are grappling with water scarcity, and Kawthar addresses this crisis by focusing on the local impact. By working with Mosque Leaders, Imams, Madrassah teachers and pupils as well as worshipers the project seeks to instil a sense of responsibility and a love, not only for the environment but also for the well-being of future generations who will inherit the consequences of our actions.

A Holistic Approach

This initiative is not just about immediate actions; it’s about building a lasting legacy. By instilling a culture of environmental responsibility and sustainable practices, the project aims to create a blueprint for generations to come.
